We’re Hiring: Video Editor Wanted!

Friday July 4, 2025

Location: Near Farnham, Surrey (4+ days/week in office)
Hours: 40-45 hours/week (flexible approach)
Experience: 3+ years

Salary: £30k-£35k depending on relevant experience

What you’ll be doing

We’ve landed an exciting long-term contract producing regular video content for a major cinema chain’s YouTube channel, and we need a talented video editor to bring it all to life.

You’ll be the creative force behind content that captures the excitement and anticipation of the big screen experience – from comprehensive film preview guides to celebrity interviews, premiere coverage, and innovative new formats. Think punchy edits, and content that gets people genuinely excited about their next cinema trip.

This is all about the craft of editing and motion design. You’ll be:

  • Creating dynamic, punchy edits that capture the thrill of upcoming blockbusters
  • Designing smooth motion graphics that build excitement and anticipation
  • Building compelling visual narratives that inspire cinema visits
  • Researching upcoming releases and developing creative treatments
  • Writing scripts and planning edit structures
  • Managing post-production schedules and ensuring slick delivery
  • Collaborating on shoot planning and talent coordination
  • Working directly with our client to develop fresh visual approaches
  • Delivering 15+ pieces of content monthly (including trailers and cut-downs)

What we’re looking for

Essential:

  • 3+ years as a video editor
  • Adobe Premiere mastery (this is where you’ll live)
  • Good working knowledge of After Effects (being a total wizard is even better)
  • Proven track record creating engaging YouTube content for B2C brands
  • Fast, instinctive editing style with an eye for pacing and storytelling
  • UK-based applicants only

Massive bonus points:

  • Strong motion design and animation skills (After Effects wizardry)
  • Proficiency with other Adobe Creative Suite software
  • Camera operation skills (useful for our lean shoot days)
  • Film enthusiast (you’ll be working with movie content daily!)
  • Experience with cinema/entertainment content

Why you’ll love working here

We’re not your typical corporate video company. We’re a tight-knit team who genuinely have each other’s backs. While you’ll report to the MD, we operate with a refreshingly flat structure where everyone’s voice carries equal weight – no egos, no hierarchy drama.

As a small business, we thrive on an ‘all hands on deck’ mentality when projects get exciting (which they often do). If you’re someone who loves variety, wants to make a real impact, and enjoys being part of something where your contribution genuinely matters, you’ll absolutely love it here. Big agency bureaucracy? Not our thing.

We treat people like adults, trust you from day one, and believe that if you’re good at what you do, you should have the freedom to do it your way.

Expect a laid-back but professional environment where personality fit matters as much as skills. If you’re someone who takes pride in their work but doesn’t take themselves too seriously, you’ll fit right in.

Ready to help us turn this exciting project into something special? We’d love to hear from you.
