Job Title: Junior Video Producer and Editor
Location: Between Fleet and Farnham – GU10
Based: mostly office based with some flexibility
Hours: 25 hours a week and can be structured to suit you (further work may be available as demand requires, pay for which will be hourly on a pro-rata basis)
Salary: £22k-£24k pro rata depending on experience
6 Month FTC (potential to extend)
Responsible To: Managing Director
Purpose of the role: To work as part of our small in-house corporate video productions team, working on multiple client projects simultaneously.
About Us: We’re a small corporate video and animation production company. We work with clients across multiple sectors from logistics to financial management, and everything in between!
We’re enjoying strong year on year growth and consequently are looking to grow our team.
Key tasks of the role: As a small company, we all have to muck in and do a bit of everything but your core responsibilities will include:
- Creative ideation and content development based on client briefs.
- Production management – planning of shoots, booking crew and kit, creating Call Sheets, ensuring projects come in to the required budget, managing issues as they come up.
- Filming content – you may be out on your own, or part of a large crew. You would be expected to adapt as needed.
- Editing and animation as may be required for client films to support our existing in-house Editor.
- Videos are produced for a variety of platforms, and for clients across multiple industries. You’re not expected to know everything (or sometimes even anything) about any of these, but you are expected to be a whizz when it comes to filming equipment, and we want you to be our in-house camera geek!
- Management and organisation of all assets created from our projects.
- Support our own marketing and content requirements to promote our company.
- Deal directly with clients as and when required. You would at times be the face of the company (i.e. on solo shoots) and it’s an absolute requirement that professionalism is paramount.
- Undertake any other activities as required by the Managing Director, some of which may occasionally require work during unsociable hours, including weekends.
- Do your absolute best at all times to have fun, and enjoy your job. We’re not saving lives, we’re making videos and we unashamedly try and make it as enjoyable as we can. Yes, it will be hard work and stressful at times, but we do our best to keep a smile on our faces and expect you to as well.
Skills & Abilities: We would ideally like you to have:
- A pro-active approach to work
- Good people skills.
- Strong video production skills
- Previous production company experience would be an advantage
- Strong sound recording skills and knowledge of basic audio mixing
- Editing and animation skills, including being able to handle basic colour correction
- Working knowledge of Premiere and After Effects
- Knowledge of Photoshop for editing photos and creating simple graphics for videos
- Full driving licence.
While all of the above is ideal, we also appreciate that everyone has strengths and weaknesses. We try to support our colleagues where they need it, and hope they can also help us fill the gaps we also have in our skillsets.
